The Nickel finish cattleman features quality plating with charcoal blue screws. All nickel finish cattlemans are built on new model forged frames with several grip options to choose from. The custom grip options are hand-fit at the factory for an overall supreme finish on these revolvers. Grip choices include: polymer black, ivory, pearl, and classic walnut. All of the grips are one-piece and the standard Navy size found on the cattleman model.

The New Model frame Cattleman is the most accurate reproduction of the peacemaker that won the west. New Model frame Cattlemans in the standard finish feature: case-hardened frame/hammer, blued steel parts, smaller Navy-size walnut grip, wider front fixed blade & rear sight frame notch, and spring-retained quick release cylinder pin. The Stainless Steel cattleman in an ideal combination of a newer finish and classic revolver. All of the parts on these revolvers are stainless steel and put on a new model frame. This model comes fit with a standard Navy size walnut grip. Even with the extra durability of the stainless steel these revolvers still require normal firearm care, especially if the shooter is shooting black powder ammunition.

The 1873 Cattleman High End
Cattleman with Antique Finish
The Cattleman Antique finish is applied to the entire revolver at the factory and could fool anyone for an original piece when done. The antique finish models are built on a new model forged frame with the durable aged finish applied to all parts (cared for like blued steel). Also during the antiquing process the grips are aged to look authentic to match the rest of the revolver.

Cattleman with Charcoal Blue Finish
The Charcoal Blue finish is a delicate over-oxidized bluing applied to new model forged frame cattlemans. When new it is a bright blue color and over time with use it will naturally patina to a soft grey. All parts are charcoal blued except for the case hardened frame and hammer. The aging process takes a long time with this finish, but is very beautiful.

Cattleman with White Finish - Engraved
This cattleman model is photo engraved at the factory and then hand-chased by an engraver for extra depth. The photo engraved cattleman features a new model forged frame and white-heat treated finish (cared for like blued steel). This engraving pattern has mixed elements of floral, cross-hatch, and stippling. This engraved revolver is a gorgeous piece for any collection.

Cattleman Old Model
The Cattleman Old Model frame is a replica of the original-style 1873 frame with a "fourth screw" in the frame to retain the cylinder pin. The Cattleman Old Model also features the traditional "doughnut" shaped ejector rod tab with the original thinner front blade & rear sight frame notch. Usually ordered in the standard finish, they come with a forged case hardened frame and blued steel parts. This is the perfect revolver for any shooter wanting a true original-style single action. The Cavalry version is usually ordered in the 7.5" .45LC configuration and comes with the US Cavalry stamps and grip cartouche.

The Stallions
The Stallion revolver is a smaller version of the popular 1873 Cattleman single action revolver. The Stallion is about 75% the size of a full-size Cattleman, but it boasts the unique look at feel of the popular six-shooter. The revolver is available in .22 LR which is a unique caliber for the single action design. It is a great piece for junior shooters, and it's lighter weight makes it ideal for multiple individuals. That stallion revolver does not come in special finishes. It features a blue finish with a case-hardened frame.

The Ranch Hand
The Ranch Hand is built on the cattleman new model forged frame. It features all the best qualities of the cattleman design while boasting the flashy brass backstrap & triggerguard. Not only is the Ranch Hand a beautifully craft revolver, but also more economical. Besides the brass grip frame, the Ranch hand features a case hardened frame with the remaining blued steel parts, and a smaller Navy-size walnut grip. Maintenance for the steel portion of this revolver follows standard gun care and the brass parts can easily be kept polished looking with a metal cleaner like Flitz.

The Gunfighter
The Gunfighter model is the perfect solution for any shooter looking for more grip to hold on to. Taylor's installed the favorite 1860 Army grip onto the new model forged frame cattleman to accommodate the larger hand shooter. The Army grip is longer and slightly wider than the smaller Navy grip that is usually found on cattleman frames. This grip is available in smooth or checkered finish to suite any shooter's needs.

Exclusively from Taylor's & Co., the Short Stroke revolver is an improved single-action revolver perfect for competition shooting or the avid arms collector. It can be built with the low-set Smoke Wagon™ hammer or the lower and wider profile Runnin' Iron® hammer. It also features a blue finish with a case-hardened frame, and a richly detailed, checkered grip for comfort and improved aim. For shooters that prefer a larger grip the bigger, Army style Gunfighter grip is also an available option. The PGW tuned action on the short stroke revolvers includes hand polishing on most internal parts and spring modification, however the spring pressure is left at factory settings for optimal performance. For mounted shooters if extra forcing cone clearance is needed this service must be requested when placing an order.
