FAQs
*Frequently Asked Questions*
Q. Which of your performance parts will fit in my rifle?
A. That, of course depends on what rifle you own. We make parts that will work in Uberti, Winchester (Miroku), Marlin, and Rossi lever action rifles. To find out what parts will work in your rifle, visit our online store and click on your rifle type under the "Competition Rifle Parts" tab. If you still have questions, give us a call and we'll be happy to assist you.
Q. Will your performance parts fit my older Uberti rifle?
A. That depends. Our short stroke kits and other performance parts will fit Uberti model 1873 and 1866 rifles made after 1999, and most of those made from 1980 t0 1999. However, some of those earlier rifles are slightly different internally; enough so that our parts will not work in some of them. If you have an older Uberti rifle, give us a call. We may be able to determine if our parts will fit your gun.
Q. If your parts don't fit my rifle, can I return them?
A. Yes, as long as the parts haven't been damaged or modified in any way, you can exchange them for other parts or receive a refund (less shipping charges) - your choice. If you paid by check, you will receive a full refund. If you paid with a credit card or Paypal, you will receive a full refund minus processing fees (usually 6%)
Q. Will your short stroke kits work in a Marlin or Rossi rifle?
A. No. We make short stroke kits for Uberti rifles and the new Winchester rifles. Marlin and Rossi rifles' internal design makes designing a kit to shorten the stroke very difficult, if not impossible.
Q. Will any of your short stroke kits fit my original Winchester model 1873 rifle?
A. No. We make short stroke kits for the new Winchester rifles made in Japan by Miroku, but none of our short stroke kits will fit in original Winchester rifles.
Q. I had my rifle worked on by another gunsmith, and it's not working right. Can you fix it?
A. As long as the receiver (frame) of the rifle is not damaged or worn excessively, we can probably get it working for you again. However, any parts modified by another gunsmith may have to be replaced, and any springs lightened already will need to be replaced. We stand behind our work, so we need to make sure that all work on your rifle meets our standards before we return it to you.
Q. I need a part that is no longer available. Can you make one for me?
A. Sorry, no. We aren't a job shop, we're a manufacturer of our own products. While we have the equipment and expertise to make just about any small part, that's just not what we do.
