Butt Cover Measuring
How to measure for a Butt cover: Not sure of the fit?
For a correct fit our craftsman recommends using string to measure around the base of the butt-plate. Mark where the strings meet, unfold, and measure the length. Be sure to also measure six inches down from the top of the gun butt towards the sight. Send us those two measurements along with the model and year. Butt plate/end shape helps too. Is it curved, flat, etc.
EXAMPLE: String was marked where ends meet. First measurement has a 10.5" circumference.
Again marked at meeting point, six inches down the top of the stock. Second measurement is 8".
In this case the info available is a '66 Uberti Carbine, curved butt, 10.5" butt circumference and 8" forward stock circumference.
